The Burntisland facility has been involved in the design and fabrication of subsea structures since its opening in 1990. This has involved some notable successes such as the Shell Nelson Project, BP ETAP and the 750 tonne manifold for the Britannia Project, which still remains one of the largest manifolds in the UK sector of the North Sea. Burntisland Fabrications Ltd (BiFab) can offer single source responsibility for the engineering, procurement and construction of all types of subsea structures including:
Because of the quayside length and non-tidal dock, the Burntisland yard is ideal for this type of work. Fabrication can take place under cover in fabrication halls and then be assembled on the nearby quayside. BiFab has an extensive range of weld procedures qualified to BS 4515, covering carbon steel, duplex, super duplex and inconel. Hydrotesting can be carried out in-house or by suitable sub-contractors. |
